Complete Information And Guidelines About CBSE Scholarships

CBSE Scholarship is offered under different categories and this board offers scholarships to help meritorious children. Not just to motivate these kids, but also to help parents from a poor financial background to provide education to their children. Many such scholarships by CBSE are offered not just to children at school, but also for children at the college level as well. The board issues notification then and there along with the last date to apply and also the eligibility requirement to be fulfilled by candidates to apply to the appropriate scholarship.

For Single Girl Child:

Among the many scholarships offered by CBSE, the Merit Scholarship for Single Girl Child Class X is highly popular. This scholarship by the Central Board of Secondary Education is offered for meritorious girl children, who are a single child to their parents to continue their higher secondary education after completing class X. The last date for applying for this scholarship online for the year 2016 is announced by the board as 15th of December 2016. Also, the applicants are recommended to submit the hard copy of the application before 31st of December 2016. CBSE offers girl child scholarship for single girls for UG studies as well for candidates, who have completed their higher secondary.

Guidelines for Single Girl Child Scholarship:

The Guidelines for CBSE scholarship differs from one scholarship scheme to another, and as far as the single girl child scholarship for class X is concerned, it is shortly called as SGCX and here is the list of guidelines issued by CBSE for this scholarship:

Eligibility:

The objective of this scholarship by CBSE is to provide for the higher secondary education of a single and only child in the family for girls. To apply for this scholarship, the girl should have completed her class X under CBSE with at least 60% of marks or 6.2 CGPA and continuing her class XI and XII. This scheme is not just to encourage the meritorious girls, but also to recognize the efforts of parents to educate their only girl child. The scholarship will be awarded purely on merit basis. The child should be presently continuing her class XI and XII in a school that is affiliated with CBSE. Also, her tuition fee should not be more than Rs.1500 per month. NRIs from the Board are also eligible to apply, and the tuition fee for these candidates is decided at Rs.6000 per month.

Other Guidelines:

  • CBSE has announced that the only girl child scholarship shall be awarded only for Indian girls
  • Any candidate getting scholarship under this scheme can enjoy the other concessions offered at the school.

Rate of Scholarship:

The rate of this CBSE scholarship is Rs.500 per month, and the amount will be paid for a maximum period of two years. The payment to the students will be made through ECS/ through Demand Draft. The scholarship should be renewed by the students after successful completion of their Class XI, such that they will continue to get the same for Class XII as well.

Candidates meeting the eligibility requirement should visit the official website of CBSE scholarship and should first register and then should apply as per the onscreen instructions.

Hello, good to that your child is studying from Tinsukia, For admission to the class VI, the test will have questions under three sections namely mental ability, arithmetic and language, Weightage is 50%, 25%, and 25% respectively for each of these sections.The time allowed is 60 minutes, 30 minutes, and 30 minutes respectively for each section.

Hii, As you are from Badaun, I would like to tell you Only candidates from the districts where a JNV school is present can apply to the test, Those applying for the test must be doing their class V in a government or government-aided school or even from a school under open schooling system, Also, the applicants must be between the age group of 9 and 13 years.

Yes, a minimum of 75% of the selection of students should be done from rural areas, while an utmost 25% of seats should be filled by students from urban areas, Also, 33% of the total seats are reserved for girls, if your child is studying in good school of Kalyani Nagar, can clear the exam.
